My verdict: the most straightforward paid route up and in, and the one I would point a couple with a spare afternoon at. Valid one day, round-trip Namsan cable car and observatory admission in a single voucher, no group and no schedule. The thing nobody tells you in the listing summary is that you collect a physical ticket in person in Myeongdong before you go anywhere near the hill, and the voucher itself is not usable at the venue. Reviewers raise that pick-up more often than they raise the view, in both directions.
What this actually saves you, and what it does not
Do the gate arithmetic before you decide this is a bargain, because it is not one. The official listing puts walk-up observatory admission at ₩29,000 for an adult, and the Namsan cable car at around ₩15,000 for a return. Buy both at the gate and you are somewhere near ₩44,000, which was roughly $32 at the rates in force when I wrote this. The combo ticket is $33. So it is not a discount on the venue. It is about the same money with the venue queue taken out of your afternoon, and the queue is the part worth removing.
What genuinely undercuts it is the Gyeongbok Palace and N Tower city tour at $26, which includes the same round-trip cable car and the same observatory admission, and adds a licensed guide, transport and a palace on top. Roughly a fifth less for considerably more. The reason to buy this ticket instead is not price, it is freedom: the day tour meets at 08:50 and runs for hours, and this voucher lets you go up whenever the sky looks right. The pick-up: read this before you book
You collect the ticket at the Rednow Studio ticket booth, 15 Toegye-ro 14-gil, Jung-gu, a short walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 4. That is a real errand with a real location, not a QR code on your phone, and if your plan was to walk straight from your hotel to the cable car base station you will need to redraw it. If your plan already had Myeongdong in it, which for most visitors it does, the detour costs you almost nothing and buys you a printed ticket that walks past the venue queue.

Collect the ticket in the morning and go up about forty minutes before sunset. But it is the predictable weak point of a product whose whole design is that you fetch a paper ticket from a shop in Myeongdong before you go anywhere near the hill.
